SPN Horror - Fic and Art Challenge for March

There is a shocking lack of horror-based fan fic and fan art in the Supernatural fandom. While there is certainly a place for romance, adventure, and fluff in fic, there is nothing quite like the thrill of a good scary story.

March is a generally dismal month, caught in between the dreariness of winter and the promise of spring. This is an ideal time to curl up with your word processor of choice and write something that will give us the chills.

I challenge you to write a scary story in the month of March.

All characters are accepted and encouraged. You do not have to write a Winchester-specific story.

All pairings are also accepted as romantic intrigue can certainly aid the development of a story, but please, do not lose the horror edge in light of your pairing. First and foremost, your focus should be on telling a scary story.

The word count is up to you. Can you tell a ghost story in 500 words? Go for it. Do you have a slightly more adventurous tale in mind? Feel free.

Canon and AU settings are both welcome! The only limit is your imagination.

Ratings are also up to you, but please tag appropriately and remember to warn for anything that might upset your readers.

Fan artists are encouraged to contribute, as well!
